Now and Then

Words cannot even describe how much I love this movie. It was one of my favourites after I grew "too cool" for Disney.
This movie is great for a number of reasons...
1. Truly great story about friendship
2. great music
3. how kids/adolescents had fun without technology
4. how to hang out with people: be sociable!
5. how to treasure great friendships

It sends a great message; especially to young, impressionable girls who are going through puberty and might feel alone and vulnerable, how it is SO important to have friends to rely and trust your secrets too!

Story line:
After years and years 4 professional women who have moved on in their lives have finally had the opportunity to get together for a reunion and help with one of their own about to have a baby...
Then they go down memory lane...
A small group of 4 girls going through life in US suburbia in the hot summer time!

These girls go from "boys have coodies" to...
"young love" <3
I love these two together as a On-Set couple! first saw them in Casper and then Now and Then - it is Christina Ricci and Devon Sawa.
Christina was the tom-boy who was obsessed with death since her mother died in a car accident, never noticed boys until Devon stopped being the annoying boy who tortured and teased her and her friends and started being the boy she liked to kiss and flirt. Sigh. Again, young love<3

These are the women in the movie who portray their older selves when they go down Memory Lane.
Demi Moore and Rosie O'Donnell are outstanding in this movie! Looved them!

I will ALWAYS watch this movie and always recommend it to anyone!

Snowing in October...

Its been snowing outside the past few days...
real legit snow.
Snow = no more sandals :( [FML]
I am not a winter fan (clearly) but more important than that, IT IS OCTOBER!!
Snow doesn't usually come until end of November, sometimes even mid-December.
I think last year we didn't get snow until a week before Christmas. It was UH-MAZING!!
Is it too much to ask for the same luck? Probably.

Strength; or lack there of...

Fringe: Season 1

A friend loaned the first season of Fringe.
I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised!
I absolutely loved the quirky dynamic dialogue between Joshua Jackson and his on-set father, John Noble.
One of my main reasons for watching it... guilty: Joshua Jackson.
I have had a school girl crush on that actor since his Mighty Duck days and I have missed him since his Dawson Creek days!
Talented and Charming and he is very smooth in this character! It's hard to resist him.
All the actors on the show have a great chemistry together and it really shows on TV.
Very impressive and the whole concept of the show is very different! it's using science with a mix of supernatural gone wrong.
I highly recommend to watch it, but to also keep an open mind throughout the show!

I hope it continues to do well!

Rating: A+++ with a dazzle of Supernatural!

My Favourite Cookie Recipe: Wild Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

My favourite cookies!
I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but I absolutely LOVE making these cookies! I usually get a great response making them and they are OH-SO-YUMMY!!

How you make them...
Ingredients you will need:
3 tablespoon of butter
1/2 cup of Sugar
1 cup of Brown Sugar
2 large Eggs
2 cups of Flour
1/2 teaspoon of Salt
1 teaspoon of Baking Soda
1 1/2 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
3 1/2 - 4 cups of rolled Oats
chocolate chips

1. Pre-Heat oven to 350 degreed farenheit
2. Using a mixer - beat butter until fluffy est. 1 minute.
3. Add the sugars and mix for another minute or until everything looks blended
4. Add the eggs beat for 1 minute, add the flour, salt and baking soda until everything is blended and  you no 5. longer see any "white" stuff.
6. Add the vanilla extract and the rolled oats.
7. Once the oats are mixed in, add the chocolate chips - add as little or many as you like!
9. You can also add shaved almonds, raisins, etc.

Whatever you like in your cookies you can add :)

Once the ingredients are assembled, use some cooking sheets (ungreased is preferable) and you can make them as small or as big as possible.

10. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cook off for 2-5 minutes!
Makes a wonderful snack or a pleasant surprise to give your work/school friends!

Enjoy!
